17 May Back to 2008
The Whites Old Boys Day is on June 2 with a special invitation to the premiership team of 2008. Only Dan Penca and Jamie Marmont are still playing first grade-a remarkable achievement by those two players.
In 2007, the Whites won both the first grade and colts premierships with the club on a high heading into 2008.
The start to the season was perfect with Queanbeyan winning the pre-season Vodafone Shield scoring 330 points over eight games and conceding only 70.
Then in round one Royals felt the pain going down 54-0 before Tuggeranong was dismissed 41-7 in round two.
First grade took out the minor premiership for the first time in 26 years after beating Wests 43-26. The try scorers in that game indicated the strength of the side with Henry Seavula scoring three, Jamie Marmont two, Daniel Penca and Lala Lam one each.
The Whites went on to take the first grade premiership beating Easts 22-15, second grade beat Gungahlin and colts made it three downing University-Norths.
