Club stalwart Mesake Seavula had died in his Fijian village Namatakula. Mesake was in Fiji for Christmas along with his brother Noa Nadruku.
Mesake is survived by his wife, Makelesi, and two children.
He was a dual international playing for Fiji in rugby at half back and then for the Fijian rugby league side.
Mesake was involved with the Whites as a player and as a coach of the club’s women’s side with daughter Qivi playing.
His son Henry was a cult figure at the club with his silky running skills and speed. A premiership winning player, Henry has gone on to a successful career in the Sydney and NRC competitions.
