With just five rounds remaining there is a real battle going on for third and fourth spots on the first grade ladder and qualification for the final series.
The Whites have slipped to fifth spot on 33 points but only just behind fourth placed Gungahlin on 34 and third placed Wests on 36. Royals and Tuggeranong are out of sight on 57 and 53 respectively.
Queanbeyan play Easts, Royals, a bye, Wests and Easts in the last round. Wests have a bye, Gungahlin, Tuggeranong, Queanbeyan and Gungahlin again. Gungahlin face Uni Norths, Wests, Royals, Tuggeranong and Wests in the last round.
The Whites versus Wests match will be critical as will the two games between Wests and Gungahlin. The Eagles probably have the toughest road playing Royals and Tuggeranong.
Second grade have slumped to three straight losses and are now equal fourth with Gungahlin. Colts are third on 38 points five points ahead of Uni Norths. The Owls face both Gungahlin and Tuggeranong before the season ends.
Third grade are third with Tuggers on their heels with both Royals and Hall a chance to make the four. Fourths are second with four sides battling it out to catch them.
For the Whites the return of Ryan Jones is a bonus this week. Twelve players remain on the injured list.
