07 May Fourths did it tough
Queanbeyan’s first division second grade side (fourth grade) did it tough against the previously undefeated RMC on a ground that was a dust pit. The Whites won 21-7 with a late second half try to fullback Luke Cochrane.
It was seven all at half time with the Whites getting out of jail time and time again with penalties. The clearing kicks were never enough as RMC kept coming back. No 8 Jason Wirangi was heavily involved and the halves combination of Chris McRoberts and Reuben House kept the team steady.
Colts had a day out with a 61-12 score line with the new club heart throb Jake Powley scoring three.
On the lower field thirds were matching the colts try for try but faded in the second half to win 48-10. Centre and winger Adam Wise grabbed two as he continues to impress with his development this season.
Lock Daniel Jancesvski was Mr. Everywhere with the halves Tom Mitchell and Ben Pattenden playing the house down.
Seconds completely dominated scoring eight tries with Angus Balmaks kicking nearly everything. Greyhound Jamie Marmont was clearly the player of the day with his running and ability to turn defence into attack. As mentioned last week the back row of Tom G. Darmody ,Ben Boyton and Cameron Stanley could be in first grade and play just like they are.
A couple of big names made their comebacks in the reserves including centre Keith Morgan, flanker Daniel Penca, Jake Gordon and Doug Lancaster. Where are they all going to fit?
