Due to a mix up in times, only fourth grade played Hall on Saturday recording a convincing win 35-7. Playing at No 8 this week, Michael Edwards scored a try and converted all tries for a personal tally of 15 points.
Player of the day was Erene Apineru who scored a try but damaged the opposition with his robust running. Like centre,Rienhold Kamilo, he is quality and if he put his mind to it could be playing in the higher grades.
Anyway, they are enjoying themselves which is one of the main things in club rugby. Jeremy Taylor playing on the wing was creative and made countless runs with his great pace.
Plenty of players had a run including Angus Balmaks, let off school for the morning, Jack Rowe and Hugo Mahony. Mahony is the sort of five eighth you need in division one. Steady, clever and controlled.
Next week’s games will be a challenge coming up against the hot Royals club at Phillip District.
The third grade game against Hall will be played at a date to be determined.
