Ladies, Wallabies and Royalty

Campese Oval will be a hive of activity on Saturday with home games against Royals in the premier division, Ladies Day and a stopover for the Gold Blooded Tour featuring ex-Wallabies.

Headspace will also be in attendance with information and giveaways. Headspace will award “best and fairest” players from each team a small headspace prize pack including a Coles Myer gift card. Headspace stress balls will be available to each player.

Parking will be at a premium with overflow parking available at Seiffert Oval via the Yass Road entry near the Q.

The day will start with junior clinics run by the former Wallabies and senior players from the Whites and Royals from 10am. Colts kick off at 12 noon, Ladies Day at 1pm, reserves at 1.25 and first grade at 3.05 after an under 9 curtain-raiser.

Queanbeyan meet Royals for the third time this season with Royals winning 23-10 and 56-24 in the two games played. This time around the Whites have a very strong side and had a strong win last week against Wests.

The side is fairly settled with Jamie Marmont holding the fullback position after another classic display against the Lions. Fijian Under 20 representative Becs Seeto is likely to go into lock next to Kieran Frost with Zeph Tuinona moving to the back row.

Becs returns after representing Fiji

Australian Under 20 rep Nick Frost is carrying an injury but should return the following week with the games against University-Norths at University, the other team that the Whites meet three times in 2019.

The invitation only Celebration Dinner will be held on Saturday July 27 for honour board members-life members, 100 and 200 first grade game players, first grade captains, club captains, first grade coaches and Whites Wallabies. Please RSVP by July 20th.

Dan Penca played more than 100 first grade games for the Whites as well as captaining the side from 2010 to 2017.
