Lock em up

From having no locks to having three of the best has given the Whites a boost as they face up to a revitalized and competitive University-Norths on Saturday at University.

The newly arrived Yorkshireman Kieran Frost and Zeph Tuinona were named in the John I. Dent cup team of the week despite the loss to Royals.

Add the other Frost, Nick, who is on Australian Under 20 duties then the club has some newfound strength. Next year local Zane Marolt will add to the depth.

No. 8 Carl Elliot has been ruled out for the Owls and there are also concerns about acting captain Lewis Bozzato. Bozzato’s influence on the team has been immense and after his departure early last week the side struggled to find their defensive pattern.

Coach Paul Dillon and his staff have struggled to name a side. Flanker Ryan Jones may be a starter and maybe five eighth Will Goddard will also return from injury.

The other Englishman Rian Hamilton is a chance to make his first-grade debut after showing his capabilities last week.

Life does not get easier for the club as each week injuries have mounted. Again, without thirds and fourths this week there will be players available to fill the gaps.

Reserve grade would love to win their first game and the colts must overcome a one- point loss week to Royals to remain in contention for the final series.

After raising funds for the famers the Whites were out again at the weekend collecting for the Salvation Army.

Out and about for the Salvos
