The Whites face a confident Uni Norths at University on Saturday. The Owls beat Queanbeyan earlier in the year and pushed the competition favourites, Royals, at their last outing. The home side is sitting at sixth spot but only a win away from the four with the Whites hanging on to the fourth spot.
The Whites are again under-strength with Mighty Douch or Mauritius Mitch away with the Brumbies at the Mauritius Tens, Joshua White is unavailable while Keith Morgan, Soakai Tai and Ryan Jones remain on the injured list.
Colt Riley Hughes makes his debut at half back linking with another colt, Liam Moseley, who has given the team another dimension. Veteran James Marmont will share the centre spot and his form has been outstanding. Like a good wine he gets better as the years go by.
All through the grades Uni Norths are sitting just behind the Whites so wins are a must given Queanbeyan plays Tuggeranong on June 24.
Seconds are second just two points behind Tuggers, colts are third and the students are fourth, thirds are third and fourths are sitting at second.
Thirds had a good win over Hall just before the long weekend with the speed machines like Angus Balmaks, Jeremy Tayor and Ben Pattenden all making inroads.
The Brumbies are heading off to Singapore for a game with four players selected from the John I. Dent Cup. In a sign of things to come three Tuggeranong players have been chosen and one from Royals. This was the first opportunity for the Brumbies to show they are willing to share selections around the clubs and failed.
