Long serving Queanbeyan GP and patron of the Queanbeyan Rugby club , Dr. Peter Carter, has passed away at the age of 95. His funeral will be held on Tuesday June 5 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Manuka commencing at 11am. Born on August 21 1923 he died on May 29 2018.
Dr. Carter had been the club’s patron since 1981 and was elected a life member of the Whites in 1983. His service to the club included a stint as president from 1962 to 1969 and he even turned his hand to coaching in 1966.
A minute’s silence was held at the beginning of the first grade game on Saturday.
