Ladies Day was simply “pinktastic” with around $4,000 raised for the local Cancer Support Group. The first grade pink jumpers were in demand with average bidding around the $200 mark and the top price paid $350.
More than 60 ladies enjoyed the sun on the Col Maxwell Balcony with the Whites having a good day on the field with firsts retaining the Pat Matthews Cup.Pat’s partner Pam was on hand to help Tight Five spokesperson John Moore present the pink jumpers to the first grade. Pat was a member of the Tight Five sponsorship group that has assisted the club with player development.
The success of the day was due to the energy and enthusiasm of organiser Mara Bales. The support of Hotel Realm (major raffle prize and donation of wine), The Royal Hotel (wine) and Rosemary of City Florist (flowers) was much appreciated.
