Fullback Aaron Robinson was the standout in fourth grade’s win against ADFA. The only win of the day with first grade beaten 50-29, reserve grade thumped 68-17, colts downed 36-10 and thirds pipped 29-19.

Thirds and fourths played ADFA at ADFA while the premier division were at Erindale.

Colt aged Robinson must be pushing for a call-up with his efforts in defence. He ran down several breakaway runs by the soldiers and then turned the tackles into attack.

Another who continues to impress is lock Gordon Daunitutu. Another colt age player, he gets through plenty of work and uses his size to full advantage. Daunitutu and Declan Tansey are both learning the game and will move up the grades over the next years.

One of the older brigade Dirk Wilkens deserves a mention as he drags his 33-year-old body around the park and Bobby Waters ,at hooker, cannot help himself and played two full games with plenty of running and vigour in the Boorowa boy.

Thirds tried a little too hard and made mistakes that cost them dearly. Safety first is the call against the willing and fit ADFA troops not the spectacular but the grind.

Thank goodness for the former Mudchooks, John Steele and Chris Prail. Both put in for the whole game with fullback Steele safe all day and Prail energetic and enthusiastic.
