18 Sep Seven in Brumbies under 19SIDE
Seven Queanbeyan players have been included in the Brumbies Under 19 team to contest the national championships in Canberra at the end of the month.
Six of the seven played in the colts’ grand final while Zane Marolt was still recovering from shoulder surgery.
Marolt is joined by Davea Teoteo, Mika Eli, Johnny Lalotoa, Jack Gilmore, Brendan Jimenez and Haloti Fonua.
Colts’ captain Kane Kilmister has been selected in the Australian Barbarians which will compete at the championships.
The Whites can be well proud of the player achievement and reflects the potential within the club.
Under the guidance of Academy Head, Daniel Hooper, the 19’s will play their first match on Saturday September the 28th against the Melbourne Rebels at the AIS. The championships will continue from October the 5th through to October 12.
The Australian Schools Barbarian team, coached by Dan Hawke and Ben McGee, face Samoa Schools on October 3 at Knox College but there is an opportunity to watch the Samoan side go around on Wednesday September the 25th at Marist College at 12.30 against the ACT Schoolboys.
The Barbarian team includes St. Edmund’s students Remsay Lemisi and Junior Tupou with Jed Stuart in the shadow squad.
