The ACT Fijians played the NSW Fijians in the cup final of the Queanbeyan Sevens with the ACT side winning 3-1. It was a game of excitement-the big hits, the goose steps and the unbelievable support play. The moment in the memory was the two teams singing together at the end of the game.
If you wanted to pick a dream team, try seven Fijians or even a team of 15.
The Whites were good and came third winning the plate against Gungahlin 5-2 and of course coached by the man who blocks the sun, Dan Hawke.
The youngsters are so impressive and add to the mix Wyll Holland. How good is he going to be?
Queanbeyan only went down to ACT Fiji 4-5 before knocking off the Leeton Phantoms, Wests and Jindabyne.
The Sevens was played in sunshine and in good spirit with all teams dancing their way through the games.
The Leeton Phantoms won the bowl defeating Royals 4-2 and were the third side of Fijians. No one is home on the islands.
Our thanks to the referees and assistant referees who ran all day and had plenty of empathy with the play.
