The three surviving Whites’ teams face sudden death on Saturday with the club hoping that at least one, two or three make the grand finals.
From the five Whites’ sides that made the semi-finals three teams second grade, colts and fourths have survived to compete in the preliminary finals.
Seconds defeated Uni-Norths 17-13, colts defeated the Owls 31-17 and fourths lost 53-12 but played in the major semi and have a second chance. In seconds Qbn will play Royals (1.25), colts will play Tuggeranong (11.35) and fourths meet RMC (9.35) at Erindale.
Seconds center Zac Tarrant has been suspended so Ben Darmody moves into the centres, Toni Fifita goes to the wing with Josh Wells to fullback.
Royals have had the upper hand in seconds but will face a far better different side this time. Colts have yet to beat either Tuggeranong or Gungahlin yet have a team that can beat both if they are remain on song.
They played perfect football for 10 minutes last week and this week it will have to blow out to 60 minutes to have a chance.
Fourths need to have some of their experienced players contributing to the full game and add a bit of starch to the defence. The soldiers must be excited about a chance to play a grand final but do not have the sharp to get there.
Queanbeyan has the canteen for the day so if you can contribute an hour to serve it would be appreciated.
