OJ Noa in the second row

Queanbeyan faces a huge test this week with the trip to Nicholls (note the change of venue) against the Eagles.

It may not seem like a test when Gungahlin sit on the bottom of the competition ladder with just one win and the Whites are hanging onto a top four spot. Easts beat Gungahlin last week while the Whites went down to Royals, although the Whites were probably the better side.

On paper Eagles have a line-up that should be winning though last week they were missing a few guns, as were the Whites.

After performing well against the defending premiers and not getting the result it could be difficult for the side to build for the game.

Colt Will Goddard returns at centre with Zac Tarrant performing at five eighth. The backs have been consistent with JR Morgan and Jamie Marmont always amongst the best. It is in the forwards where there are concerns. Lock Toby Wilson is out meaning Ryan Jones will go into the second row with OJ Noa. Neither are recognized locks and the pack could be in for a difficult day.

Up front though Fred Kaihea, Ben Gordon and Neori Nadruku will more than hold their own.

Nicholls is a hard place to play with the often-soggy ground accompanied by changeable winds.

Reserve grade is on top of the ladder at the half way mark of the competition with Eagles having won just one. Colts again will have to be on song to hold the strong running opposition. They were certainly reading the same music sheet last week with a few top hit tries.

Thirds and fourths have a rest with the Eagles meeting ADFA in the lower grades.
